My work is influenced by photographers like Peter Hujar, David Armstrong, and Mark Morrisroe. The intimate nature of their work inspired me to begin photographing the people in my life.
Film is my primary medium, though I shoot digitally when it makes sense. Most of my work is in black and white; however, I use colour when it serves the mood or the person in front of the camera. Beyond these technical choices, connection and trust are crucial to how I work, which is why I focus on creating a space where people feel at ease and truly seen so the photographs reflect how they want to be portrayed.
